Madrid, Jun 30 (EFE) .- The Madrid musical event Dcode, scheduled for September 10 and 11, postpones its tenth edition to 2022 “due to current circumstances and because uncertainty does not allow us to celebrate the usual festival.”
In the official statement, the dates for next year’s celebration have not been anticipated at the moment. It does indicate that people who have purchased season tickets or tickets will receive an email this afternoon with the detailed instructions to follow to keep them for the 2022 edition or to request their return.
Dcode Festival was one of the few crowded summer festivals that kept its celebration, after the previous and continuous postponements of other events such as Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Bilbao BBK Live or Mad Cool and Tomavistas, both also in Madrid.
“For the last few months, the organization has been working hard studying all possible options to go ahead with Dcode 2021, but the current circumstances and the uncertainty that still exists do not allow us to celebrate the usual Dcode festival, the one that the public is waiting for and he deserves after this difficult year “, the press release alleges.
The tenth edition, postponed from 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, this year would have had the Americans Queens Of The Stone Age as the great headliner, in addition to Vetusta Morla, The Hives, Milky Chance, Sidonie, Fuel Fandango , Mando Diao, Maxïmo Park, Café Tacvba, Belako and St Woods.
This event has become the oldest of the Madrid festivals, with milestones such as 2018, which completed its maximum capacity of 25,000 people with Imagine Dragons and Izal as the main attractions.
