That the guitar is an ancient instrument of more than a thousand years, is resabido. It is also resounding that our country has been where most evolved from the middle ages to today, even the guitarist reminded us Pete Townshend, excited in 2006 for playing in the "cradle of the guitar", During the first concert of the quien in Spain.
From those archaic instruments, through the first works for guitar (the oldest was published in 1546 by Alonso Mudarra in Seville), and the first electric guitar, manufactured in 1930 by George Beauchamp At their home in Los Angeles, until the present day, the six strings have evolved through the art of making musical instruments in the hands of professionals, known as luthiers, dedicated to this trade and from which there is evidence for more than 1200 years.
It can not be denied that the construction of these instruments has also been influenced by musical genres, by their differentiation and needs. From there the acoustic, semi-acoustic, electric guitars with solid body, etc. "For tastes, guitars," you could say.
With the aim of making known the best of the artisan manufacture of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects, etc., the LuCE (Collaborative Association of Contemporary Spanish Lutiers), a non-profit group of artisanal luthiers from the Iberian Peninsula, presents the "Luthier Guitar Show", An exhibition of contemporary musical instruments and everything related to them, in a format that is a success in the international arena and that, until now, has not beenbia made in Spain.
