The 'Literary Conversations' of the Formentor Foundation stop at the Hotel Santa Catalina

The capital of Gran Canaria becomes in September and for three days a focus of international literary reflection. The
Hotel Santa Catalina welcomes between
23rd and 25th of next month the new installment of
'Literary Conversations' organized by the Formentor Foundation and which on this occasion will address the role of the great liars of literature in debates entitled
'Satyrs, rogues and mangantes'.

Authors such as Manuel Vilas, Jesús Carrasco, Elsa López, Fernando Delgado, Alexis Ravelo, Ana Merino, Vicente Molina Foix, Félix de Azúa and Juan Tallón, among others, are among the participants in the new installment of these Conversations that the
Formentor Foundation launched in 2008 to "celebrate the great play of literary imagination."

"Recovering the spirit of the Week of Wisdom convened for the first time in 1931 and the inspiration renewed by the Poetic Conversations in 1959, Formentor prolongs the aesthetic commitment of editors, writers, philosophers,

After the debate on Liudmila Ulitskaya, on September 24, starting at 12 noon, under the title of
'rogues', will take place the literary conversation starring
Manuel Vilas, Lucía Lijtmaer, Jesús Carrasco, Elsa López and Fernando Delgadowhich will be presented by the translator Marilena de Chiara.

The delivery of this Saturday continues in the afternoon, specifically from 5:00 p.m., with the conversation around literary 'Sátyros' that will star:
Javier Montes, Bárbara Blasco, Jordi Amat, Raquel Taranilla and Gonzalo García Pelayowith the journalist and writer Carlos Aganzo as presenter.

'Mangantes', starting at 6:30 p.m., puts the finishing touch to the day, with the intervention of
Ana Merino, Miguel Albero, Meryem El Mehdati, Vicente Molina Foix and Xavier Güellwith the journalist Lourdes Santana as presenter.

Lyudmila Ulitskaya, whose
Jewish ancestors were from Ukrainehas established his residence in Berlin since March 2022.

She graduated with a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Moscow, after which she worked as a scientist at the Institute of Genetics. She later became repertoire director of the
Moscow Hebrew Theater (1979-1982), before undertaking her current job as a writer, thanks to which she has published fifteen volumes of fiction, to which she adds three children's stories and six plays.
