The life of Simone de Beauvoir

The movie, of director Martn Provost, Violette Leduc, the bastard daughter of a nobleman, meets Simone de Beauvoir after the post-war period in Saint Germain des Prs, thus beginning an intense relationship between these two women that will last a lifetime, a relationship based on the search for freedom of Violette and Simone's conviction of having the fate of a writer out of the ordinary.
Simon de Beauvoir was a feminist French writer, teacher and philosopher. During his life, he stood out for being a fighter for the equal rights of women and for the decriminalization of abortion and sexual relations. I wrote novels, essays, biographies and monographs on political, social and philosophical topics. His thinking is framed in the philosophical current of existentialism and his work The second sex, is considered fundamental in the history of feminism. He was a couple of Jean-Paul Sartre.
Illegitimate daughter of Berthe Leduc and Andr Debaralle, Violette Leduc spent most of her childhood with low self-esteem, exacerbated by her mother's hostility and lack of protection. In 1955, Leduc was forced to eliminate part of his novel Ravages due to sexually explicit passages of lesbianism. His best known work, memories The Btarde, leave in 1964.
