The Lanzarote native Adonay Bermúdez will be the Artistic Director of the 11th Lanzarote Art Biennial

Bermúdez is an independent cultural curator and manager with more than 15 years of experience

The young man from Lanzarote, Adonay Bermúdez (Conil, 1985) will be the Artistic Director of the
11th edition of the Lanzarote Art Biennial which will start at the beginning of next September.

From his hand, and under the generic title
"Like the hare in the moor", The Lanzarote Art Biennial will focus on Lanzarote society itself (from the local to the global), understanding that culture constitutes an intangible asset that is configured as a social catalyst capable of establishing relationships, preserving and studying our common heritage, registering the socio-cultural events and educate our society.

This next edition, the Biennial defends that true culture is democratic, inclusive, participatory and polyphonic; recognizes the conflicts and challenges of the present; safeguards diversity and guarantees equality among individuals.

The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, wants
"to congratulate" publicly to Adonay Bermúdez for this appointment, "which is recognition of a young talent from the island with an international dimension, who is going to put his critical gaze at the service of a renewed Biennial committed to diversity and the defense of human rights" .
