The King visits Gran Canaria next February 6 - The Province


The Royal House has confirmed the assistance of King Philip VI to the inauguration of the FPdGi 2019 Awards, which has its kick-off, coinciding with its 10th anniversary, at the Infecar site in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on February 6th.

The Princess of Girona Foundation has chosen Gran Canaria to start the proclamation tour of the FPdGi 2019 Awards. The event will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, awill take the proclamation of the Premio FPdGi Empresa 2019, and it will count with the participation of humorist Juan Carlos Ortega and the entrepreneur Xavier Verdaguer.

In Seville, on February 20, the proclamation of the FPdGi Arts and Letters Award 2019 will take place; while in Cáceres, on March 6, the FPdGi Social Award 2019 will be proclaimed; and in and Santiago de Compostela, on March 27, will be the proclamation of the Prix FPdGi Scientific Research 2019. As in the Gran Canaria capital, in these four cities will be a parallel activity of disruptive innovation for young people between 16 and 24 years . The tour will end in Girona with the announcement of the International Award that has been called for the first time coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the awards.

For 180 minutes, young people will work as a team to find creative ideas, based on a successful methodology used in companies around the world, which fosters the development of talent and creativity. Once the innovation challenge for young people is finished, the acts of proclamation of the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards will be held endowed with 20,000 euros and that recognize the innovative and exemplary trajectory of young people between 16 and 35 years old. The awards will be handed out at the end of November in the city of Barcelona.

The FPdGi convenes annually the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards with the will to promote and encourage initiative and effort, scientific research and artistic creativity, solidarity and youth talent development entrepreneurs and innovators who show concern for building a more just world in a globalized environment, and who have the capacity to take risks and the necessary motivation to induce changes in society.
