The King receives the credentials of six new ambassadors



The credentials are the document that accredits a foreign ambassador as representative and maximum diplomatic authority of another country in Spain. The colorful delivery ceremony, which includes the displacement of ambassadors aboard floats, dates back to the eighteenth century, and has remained virtually intact.

Among the ambassadors who have presented credentials is Colombia's former minister Carolina Barco, and the new ambassador of Northern Macedonia, Oliver Krliu, the first after the name change.

They have also passed through the Royal Palace Cihad Erginay, ambassador of the Republic of Turkey; Pavel Pustovoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus; Widhya Chem, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Yong Chanthalangsy, Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
