The incidence rate slows down its fall and Spain adds 4,013 infections and 291 deaths without data from Catalonia

Health has notified 4,013 cases of coronavirus on Monday in the last day, while yesterday’s data amounted to 11,958 infections. As for the deceased, the data report provided by Health incorporates 291 new fatalities to the total balance, a figure somewhat lower than yesterday’s, which was 298 deaths.

The cumulative incidence at 14 days, which fell on Friday for the first time since August from 150 cases For every 100,000 inhabitants, with which Spain managed to place itself outside the high-risk area, and yesterday it reflected 142.24 cases, it is placed this Tuesday at 139.08 cases.

In this situation, Health and the communities continue to finalize the restrictions that will be adopted every Easter to avoid a repeat of the situation experienced after the Christmas holidays and that triggered the third wave. In this sense, the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, so far the most critical of the perimeter closures, has assured this Tuesday that It will abide by the measures adopted in the Interterritorial Council this Wednesday. The regional leader considers, however, that “it is still early to make these decisions” and that they need to “see how it evolves.” Ayuso had hinted in recent days that he would make his own decisions based on the evolution of the pandemic after the majority of autonomous communities and the Ministry of Health agreed on the closure of the regions, a curfew at 10 p.m. and a maximum of four people per table in restaurants, both indoors and outdoors, an agreement that must be ratified this Wednesday.
