The incidence rate of COVID continues to grow among the elderly with a slight increase in hospitalizations

The Ministry of Health has registered 49,829 new cases of coronavirus, which brings the total number of infections since March 2020 notified by tests to 12,058,888.
By communities, Andalusia is the one that contributes the most cases (7,701), followed by Catalonia (7,437) and Madrid (6,557). On the other hand, the ones with the fewest cases are the autonomous cities of Melilla (107) and Ceuta (180), La Rioja (518) and the Balearic Islands (714).
The incidence in people over 60 years of age rises slightly, the risk group in which Health has focused. It is found at 843.24 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, from 813.22 points on Friday.
Regarding the deceased, the Ministry led by Darias has added 254 more, which places the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic at 105,123. Of these, 222 have occurred in the last seven days.
In hospitals, as of this Tuesday, there are 7,291 people admitted, which translates into an occupation of 5.89%. Compared to the previous report, admissions have risen by 433. In ICUs, there are 356 COVID-19 patients.
