The incidence of the coronavirus in those over 60 years of age has fallen more than 70 points since Tuesday and falls below the barrier of 800 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with 728.22 cases, which is the lowest figure since the end of April.

Although the incidence continues at figures above 700 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, these infections do not translate into an increase in hospital pressure, as pointed out by the head of Health, Carolina Darias. Health has recorded 236 deaths from coronavirus, while on Tuesday the report reported 158 deaths, which was the lowest number recorded since the Ministry of Health changed the COVID case notification system. In total, since the start of the pandemic in Spain there have been 106,341 deaths from the disease.
Regarding vaccination against COVID-19, 80.2% of those over 40 years of age have a booster dose, while 54.6% of children between 5 and 12 years of age have at least one anti-COVID dose. .
