The IMF predicts that the coronavirus will sink the world economy by 3% in 2020

The world economy will collapse 3% in 2020 due to the impact of the coronavirus, mainly weighed down by the significant contraction in the US, of 5.9%, and the abrupt slowdown in China, which will barely grow by 1.2%.

This is reflected in the new World Economic Outlook report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), released today, which highlights that the "sharp" contraction of the global economy this year will be much worse than that experienced during the financial crisis from 2008-2009.
