The Government will pour all the resources in the aid to affected Mallorca

The President of the Government, Pedro Sanchez, today transmitted to those affected by torrential rains in Mallorca that the Executive will "dump all resources so they can recover day to day as soon as possible."

Sanchez, who has visited the area affected by the heavy rains, has sent the relatives of the nine deceased his "respect, affection and empathy" and, after highlighting the extraordinary work of the emergency corps, has indicated that the priority is to find with life to the five people who are still missing.

"The Government is not going to turn its back", the Chief Executive insisted, explaining that tomorrow the Council of Ministers will begin the procedures for the declaration of a catastrophic zone and the immediate start-up of economic aid.

The cabinet will deal with two reports, one from the Ministry of the Interior and the other from Territorial Policy, explained Pedro Sánchez, who also highlighted the "coordination at the minute" with the Balearic Government, whose president and principal authorities of the islands have accompanied him in his visit to the command post of the emergency operation in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar.

The President of the Government has referred on several occasions to that the Executive will use the maximum speed so that the affected ones can recover the normality "as soon as possible", although it has requested some understanding for the magnitude of the catastrophe.
