Late in the afternoon of last Friday, the Government sent the recovery plan to Brussels. The document contained a message about the elimination of tax benefits for joint declarations that led the Executive to have to qualify it and deny that this measure was underway. This Wednesday, the Second Vice President and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño, has insisted on the message of the last few days and has attributed it to a “mistake”. What is a commitment of the Government is the review over the next few years of a fortnight of tax benefits, among which is the one mentioned above, with the aim of analyzing if its initial objectives are met and if its cost is consistent with the impact achieved with this, as shown in the detail of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, known this Wednesday.
