During a press conference in Las Cuevas del Almanzor, Almería, Bolaños also insisted that the inflationary context "is a global phenomenon" although, he said, the Executive is "taking measures" to "alleviate" the situation. “We are facing an international context caused by Putin's war in Ukraine that is generating many uncertainties and is raising the price of energy. In this context, the very high inflation figures that Europe is suffering are explained. It is explained by this war situation”, he remarked. But according to the calculations of the Executive itself, the "measures" adopted by the Council of Ministers "have reduced inflation by 3.5 points."

Bolaños has also valued the adoption of the "Iberian exception" that has placed limits on the price of gas and has boasted that, thanks to this measure, "today the price of a megawatt" in Spain is a third lower than in other countries. of Europe. According to the minister, this initiative will make it possible for "inflation to be better contained", although he has assured that it will be "in winter" when "the results of the Iberian exception will be seen more clearly". After also recalling the drop in fuel prices, Bolaños has asked to "value" the work of the Government. "We are getting results," he said.

The Executive also considers that "the energy saving plan" launched by the Government "is being applied with total normality". And he has remarked that "traders and citizens are having much more responsibility than the main opposition party", alluding to the PP and, in particular, to the attitude of the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. “He is showing that the PP is opposed to everything. Mr. Feijóo, when he speaks, you have to be patient and wait for the one in charge in the PP to speak, ”he ironized, alluding to Ayuso.

Accusations of the PP leadership

This very morning, the Deputy Secretary for Regional and Local Coordination of the PP, Pedro Rollán, accused the government of giving "guidelines" to his ministers to "try to generate" a climate of confrontation between the current leadership of Alberto Núñez Feijóo and the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, due to criticism of the Government's energy saving plan.

“There is no type of discrepancy or conflict between President Feijóo and President Ayuso”, the 'popular' leader defended in an interview with Europa Press, where he blamed the PSOE for wanting this confrontation between 'Genoa ' and the head of the Madrid Executive.
