The Minister of Transport, José Luis Ábalos, who assured on Monday that the Government is strong, has stated that the confidence motion "has not been raised either in public or in private" and has reproached the popular for trying to give the image of which party and executive are weakened.
At a press conference and to questions from journalists, Ábalos said that "it is false. No one can think of proposing a measure like this (confidence motion) because the government is not weak, it is something else that wants to weaken it."
The government's morale "despite everything" is high, assured the minister, for whom the Pedro Sánchez Executive "puts pressure" on the PP because "they are co-governing in several autonomous communities. Who are we going to address if not?" , has said.
Ábalos has insisted that this government "does not deserve or need a question of confidence", but also stressed that the Executive knows what its responsibility is and "is absolutely focused on fighting the pandemic."
