The Government entrusts itself to the Supreme Court for the possible implementation of the COVID passport that some autonomous communities, such as Catalonia or Euskadi, want to impose before the different judicial pronouncements after the Superior Court of Justice of the Basque Country will reject the proposal of the lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu. "There is a mismatch in the pronouncements of the higher courts of Justice that would need a harmonization of a cassation of the Supreme if these resources were produced," the spokeswoman, Isabel Rodríguez, answered to the question of whether the Executive plans to unify the rules of the game in the face of criticism that comes from the communities. The intention of Euskadi or Catalunya -which is waiting for what the judges decide in their case- is that the vaccination certificate is necessary to access the hotel industry or other activities related to leisure.

What Rodríguez has stressed is that the measures will be adopted based on "scientific criteria" just after the experts have raised a new traffic light of restrictions to Health, which, among other issues, collects schedule limitations for the hospitality industry. In the Government they have not wanted to advance what they will propose to the autonomous communities at the expense of a press conference scheduled for this afternoon by the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias.
