The Government closes with the unions the offer of public employment in full campaign

The Government gave the green light in July last year to three Royal Decrees on public employment that jointly contemplate the convocation of 23,156 places, which added to the 7688 that had convened last April for teachers and State Security Forces and Bodies a total public employment offer for 2018 of 30,844 places. An offer of public employment that could be surpassed this year and whose final figure is expected to be announced with great fanfare in the Council of Ministers this Friday.

Precisely today representatives of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function meet with the main unions of officials to continue negotiating the offer of public employment for this year.

Sources from the department headed by Minister Meritxell Batet told Servimedia that a meeting is scheduled on Wednesday and another on Thursday to continue negotiations that began two weeks ago.

Specifically, today's will be a technical meeting and will take place in the afternoon, and tomorrow, Thursday, will be in the morning. Batet and Finance Minister María Jesús Montero confirmed a few weeks ago that there will be a public job offer to approve before the general elections on April 28.

CSIF reported in a note that the staff of the General State Administration (AGE) is at historic lows and that it has 31,801 employees over 60 years old, just before retirement.
