The Government and the FEMP today constitute the Demographic Challenge Commission



The Government and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) will constitute this afternoon the Demographic Challenge Commission, where measures will be proposed to stop the depopulation that will be included in the national strategy committed by the Executive.

The constitution of this commission will take place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and will have the participation of 13 municipal representatives, including the presidents of the Provincial Councils of Huesca, Palencia, Cáceres and Pontevedra, town councils, government representatives and the minister of Territorial Policy, Meritxell Batet.

The commission will give a voice to the municipalities that will make their contributions to the national strategy in the face of the demographic challenge.
