The Government allocates 220 million euros to apply in 2019 the measures included in the State pact against gender violence in the different ministries and administrations and incorporates in that exercise double from 20 to 40 the departure for the municipalities.
According to the PGE 2019 project, a significant part of these credits are for the program "Actions for the comprehensive prevention of gender violence", managed by the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Equality, through the Delegation of Government for Gender Violence and the Secretary of State for Equality.
Among its credits are transfers to Autonomous Communities for 112 million euros for the expanded competencies in terms of sexist violence included in the agreement and transfers to Local Entities for 40 million euros, for the imminent return of powers to them to deal with to victims of gender violence.
In addition, 14 million euros are collected for families and non-profit institutions to allocate social assistance to women victims of gender violence and to assist victims of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation and other actions.
In the Ministry of the Interior, items are included to achieve the objectives of the pact, such as strengthening the training of police officers, improving the protection of victims and electronic mechanisms, as well as the coordination of databases between agencies.
