The organization works with the authorities in Hungary, where the departure was planned, so that it can be disputed later
The decision of the Hungarian Government to suspend the initial three stages of the Giro d'Italia has led the organization of the Italian race to suspend the race in its entirety. The Giro is postponed and looks for dates when it can be played.
"As a consequence of the decision of the Hungarian Government, the first three stages cannot be disputed and all parties have agreed to continue working together so that the departure from Hungary can be held on other dates," says the note issued by the organization of the Turn.
The Giro is postponed and the new date will be announced no earlier than April 3.
