The grancanario municipality of Gáldar is already preparing to receive the best riders on the planet in what will be the eighth and final test of the calendar APB World Tour 2019, again making this event the most anticipated international event for bodyboard fans.
The powerful and recognized wave of the Fronton will once again witness the most extreme maneuvers and the best bodyboard in the male and female categories. The world circuit arrives at the Gran Canaria Frontón King Pro 2019, its last test, with the male and female titles still to be decided. An incentive that will make this edition the world epicenter of professional bodyboarding. With a total of 16,000 points at stake and $ 40,000 in prizes, the Gran Canaria Frontón King Pro 2019 will put the finishing touch on the world circuit crowning the champions in both categories.
In men, Pierre Louis Costes, twice world champion always crowned in the Fronton, Sammy Morretino and Tristan Roberts will dispute the world crown, while in females, Sari Ohara and Ayaka Suzuki have in their hand become the new queens of the bodyboard international. In addition, this edition will feature some of the most recognized riders, such as André Botha, Hawaiians Jeff and Dave Hubbard, current world champion Jared Houston, Jacob Romero or Frenchman Amaury Laverne. All of them called by the spectacularity of a wave that leaves no one indifferent.
With an infrastructure of more than 500 square meters equipped with all kinds of amenities for athletes and fans, the Gran Canaria Frontón King Pro 2019 will begin its preliminary phase on October 12 with the participation of more than 180 participants from 17 different countries. The event will feature a grand opening with the celebration of the Gran Canaria Frontón King Festival in Playa del Agujero, in Gáldar. Concerts, clinics workshops, children's activities and a host of surprises will complement on Saturday 12 the show of the best bodyboard on the planet. The Gran Canaria Frontón King also wants to contribute to the care of the environment with a beach cleaning on Sunday, September 13 from 10.00 a.m. It will start from Boca Barranco Beach towards El Frontón.
