In a statement, PIMEC has announced that the signing of Ginesta intends to “strengthen the institution in the face of the most immediate challenges that the productive fabric must face to overcome the economic effects of the health crisis.” According to this association of small and medium-sized companies, Ginesta must “organizationally strengthen the institution in the field of labor relations, active employment policies and participation in collective bargaining.”

Ginesta has assured this Thursday in statements collected by the ACN agency that it assumes “the challenge” and that it will work to keep the largest number of companies alive and preserve the productive fabric, which “is what allows creating jobs and quality jobs.” According to the former secretary of Treball, it is also important “the transformation of dialogue and social agreement in Catalonia” as well as the “advance of the Catalan framework” of labor relations.

Ginesta joins the institution after Elena de la Campa, until now director of Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining, leaves office to start a new professional project. De la Campa will continue to be linked to the entity through the PIMEC Labor Commission and as mediator of the Labor Court of Catalonia.
