The first vaccinations in Gran Canaria against Covid-19 will be administered to users of the El Pino social health center, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The island council has communicated that the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus will begin this Sunday, December 27, at 12 noon with the dispensing of the first doses to larger users of this center.

In the symbolic act of the start of the vaccination campaign, which starts this Sunday in Spain as well as in the territory of the European Union, will be the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, and the Minister of Social Policy, Isabel Mena, according to the call of the Insular Corporation.

In this sense, this Saturday the drugs that the Pfizer-BioNtech staff have delivered to technicians from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products for their certification have arrived in Spain, as reported by the Ministry of Health.

After the arrival of the first doses to Guadalajara, the Army personnel have collected the trays corresponding to Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla for your air transport. The rest will be distributed by road.
