The forest fire that last week devastated 1,162 hectares in Dodro and Rianxo (A Coruña) had its origin in a section of the installation of distribution of electrical power, high voltage, in the place of Bexo, in Dodro.
According to the Xunta said in a statement Monday, agents of the Fire Group of the attached unit of the Autonomous Police, in collaboration with forest agents, have established the source of the fire at this point in which, as detailed by the Galician Government, It detected "a fault in a pole from which sparks were falling to the ground where the start of the fire is located".
For this reason, an attestation has been sent to the court of instruction in custody of Padrón (A Coruña), to take appropriate measures.
Last week, the president of the Xunta, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, said that if it was confirmed that the origin of the fire was the power line, as already discussed, the Galician Government would assess "the possibility of transferring the bill of extinction to the "energy company.
"It is necessary to confirm the data, if it is so, our obligation is that the person responsible for the fire has to pay, be it a company or an individual, there is no doubt about it," Núñez Feijóo said last Thursday.
