Madrid, Feb 17 (EFE) .- The Feroz Awards gala, given by the Association of Spanish Film Informers (AICE), will be moved to the Coliseum Theater in Madrid on the scheduled date of March 2, due to the extension of the confinement in the Madrid municipality of Alcobendas, where it was to be held at first.
The event will be held at the theater on Madrid’s Gran Vía street following a strict security protocol with an occupancy of 25 percent of the capacity, thanks to an agreement with Stage Entertainment Spain.
Likewise, the red carpet will be installed in the neighboring Hotel VP Plaza España Design, in a space that guarantees all health safety measures.
The decision to change the location of the Feroz 2021 gala is “an exercise of responsibility”, as both the AICE and the Alcobendas City Council coincide in qualifying, given the circumstance that the town is confined to the perimeter due to a rate of incidence of covid-19 above the average for the Community of Madrid.
Even so, Alcobendas will maintain its support for the Feroz 2021 within its strategy to position itself within the Spanish audiovisual industry as a filming location and a pole of attraction for investments in this sector.
The Coliseum Theater is one of the most emblematic of the capital, located on Gran Vía and a few meters from Plaza de España. It is owned by Stage Entertainment, a leading company in the musical theater sector both nationally and in Europe.
Only the nominees and a small group of guests will attend the gala.
Prior to the ceremony, the red carpet will unfold with the same criteria of maximum health security at the VP Plaza España Design 5 × Hotel, considered one of the most luxurious hotels in the city.
The hotel, which has the spectacular Ginkgo Sky Bar on its 12th floor, with the best views of the city and fine cuisine, makes part of its 1,200 square meters of event rooms and all its technology available to the Feroz 2021 the photocall will be installed, following a strict protocol and to which only a score of media will have access.
As previously announced, the ceremony will be presented by Pilar Castro and will be broadcast live on YouTube.
In addition, during the ceremony, the Feroz de Honor Award will be presented to Victoria Abril, who will offer a press conference on Thursday, February 25, at one in the afternoon, in the Alcobendas Art Center Auditorium.
