The contest ‘The right price‘, one of the oldest formats on world television and which in Spain made it very popular Joaquin Prat between 1988 and 1993, it will Telecinco in a renewed version presented by Carlos Sobera, the chain announced this Tuesday.

The program will have “a new image” but will maintain and enhance “its most iconic elements and with its recognized grand prizes and cash,” according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The casting is now open for participants over 18 years of age, with no age limit, with the only condition of “having intuition and desire to have fun”.

Produced in collaboration with Fremantle, the contest will have a similar dynamic to that already known: in each edition, several anonymous contestants have the sole objective of guessing, without going overboard, the price and value of one or more objects.

After a first phase, you get to a grand final round packed with great prizes and cash.

The format has more than six decades of history and has been adapted in 42 territories. In its international record it has 45 Emmy Awards. It has been broadcast in the United States after 48 years and in Portugal for over 18. It is currently also broadcast in Thailand, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
