The extraordinary performance of the goalkeepers prevents goals in Arona

Ibarra and Villa Santa Brígida scored an insufficient point at Villa Isabel (0-0) in an attractive match, but it ended scoreless. Goalkeepers Kevin and David Ramírez were the protagonists of the contest by avoiding the defeat of their teams. With this result, Ángel Sánchez’s side suffers a setback in the face of their aspirations of permanence, while Carli Perdomo’s pupils are left on the edge of falling into the abyss.

In a first half dominated by Ibarra, Carli Perdomo’s squad enjoyed opportunities to go into halftime with an advantage, but the Galleteros footballers were unlucky against David Ramírez from Gran Canaria. For their part, Ángel Sánchez’s pupils were well planted in his plot in Villa Isabel, and took advantage of the cons, with a dangerous Santi to approach dangerously the domains of the aronero Kevin.

At nine minutes, Meshack, after Ibra’s service, was able to overtake Ibarra on the scoreboard, but the shot from the Galletero attacker, after standing alone against David Ramírez, was rejected by the Satauteño goalkeeper. After the quarter of an hour, there was the reply of Santa Brígida with a double opportunity in which Santi was not successful to beat the Galician goalkeeper.

With no time to breathe, Ibarra again sought his first goal, this time through Juvenil Abián González, who was not able to materialize an accurate serve, on the far post, from his teammate Meshack. After half an hour, Santa Brígida also caressed the 0-1, through Brian Cebolla, but his powerful shot, which slipped tight to the post, found Kevin’s saving save.

After the resumption, there was a second entertaining period in which the goalkeepers were the architects of the game ending goalless. The first approach of the second period was for Carli Perdomo’s side with a play in which Coly received on the left flank of the area and launched a loose shot that was stopped without problems by the Satauteño goalkeeper.

Immediately afterwards, Santa Brígida responded with a clear opportunity in Suso’s boots, but the crossed shot of the footballer from Satauta was sent by Kevin to a corner. In the 63rd minute, Ángel Sánchez’s team was very close to achieving 0-1 in a counter on the right wing, but again crashed with the rival goalkeeper. So, until the end. They were the great protagonists.
