The electoral board warns of the coincidence of a Vox rally and a demonstration in Vilagarcía

The electoral board of the Cambados area has addressed the Government Subdelegation in Pontevedra to "take the measures it deems appropriate" due to the coincidence this Friday of an act by Vox, which will be attended by its leader, Santiago Abascal, with a demonstration in favor of public health.

Both are scheduled to take place at 9:30 pm in the Plaza de Galicia in Vilagarcía de Arousa.

The zone electoral board denies that it received any request to find an alternative location for the Vox rally, "something that would not be possible either by allowing the event to be held beforehand," the Superior Court of Justice of Galicia said in a statement.

Remember that when you authorized this meeting, on June 29, you were not aware of the existence of any other authorized act in the same space, day and time, and that the Plaza de Galicia is part of the public spaces offered by the Vilagarcía City Council to host campaign events.

Finally, the electoral board of the area stresses that it is competent to award venues for campaign events when requested, always within the locations previously offered, but lacks competence to resolve issues related to the right of assembly and demonstration, whose control it depends on other organisms.

Meanwhile, Vox reports that it has denounced to the electoral board of Galicia two calls for "radical groups" to demand "the necessary police action so that these counter-demonstrations do not occur and those attending campaign events can attend without pressure and without risk for his physical integrity. "

The green formation stresses that the security forces and bodies "must prevent assistants and convenors from being coerced" from their campaign rallies, and that "they are unable to carry out their activities normally."

Vox censures that the "violent concentrations" against this party "are being the keynote of the campaign" of the Galician and Basque elections, and gives as an example the aggression suffered by the deputy Rocío de Meer.
