The Assembly in which the elections to the presidency of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will take place next September 21re, after the ruling of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) that annulled the resolution of the Administrative Court of Sport (TAD) that paralyzed the electoral process.
Initially set for August 17 or September 17, depending on whether the Higher Sports Council (CSD) enabled -as it happened- the month of August for the celebration of electoral processes in different federations, the resolution of the TAD suspended the RFEF elections.
Instead, the TSMJ ruling restarted a calendar that will start on August 6 with the definitive proclamation by the Electoral Commission of the candidacies for the General Assembly. On August 24 the election of members of the Assembly will be held in the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas and the regional federations.
The term to present the candidacies, with the current agent, Luis Rubiales, as the only a priori candidate behind the resignation of international exporter Íker Casillas, ends on September 4, and on the 21st of the same month there will be a vote to elect the president and the Delegated Commission of the RFEF.
