The economic activity of Argentina falls 4 percent year on year in October

Economic activity in Argentina registered a fall of 4% last October compared to the same month of 2017, official sources reported today.
The data was released by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) when presenting the Monthly Estimator of Economic Activity, which serves as a provisional advance to measure the variation of gross domestic product (GDP).
According to official figures, the index measuring economic activity registered an improvement of 0.9% in October compared to last September.
In the first ten months of the year, the indicator accumulated a fall of 1.7%.
According to the latest available official data, Argentina's GDP recorded a year-on-year fall of 3.5% in the third quarter of the year and accumulated a 1.4% drop in the first three quarters of 2018.
