The third edition of Download Festival de Madrid is already underway This Tuesday the organization has announced the dates on which the event will be held in the Caja Mágica of the capital: June 28, 29 and 30, 2019. A confirmation that has been accompanied by the first two names that will be part of the programming of one of the most well-known rock and metal events in the world: Tool and Slipknot.
The cult band Tool, winner of three Grammy awards, will perform in the Download thirteen years after his last performance in Madrid. This will be his only concert of the tour in Spain. They are one of the references of live music for its complex and transgressive works, in which it fuses in a unique way music, visual arts and lyrics loaded with messages.
On the other hand, Slipknot also takes a decade without meeting with the public of Madrid. The American band is one of the most provocative and disruptive of the metal of the last decades, has more ten nominations to the Grammy awards, 13 platinum albums and more than 2.5 billion views on YouTube.
The Download will reveal the rest of its poster over the next few weeks, as well as announce new features in the festival site. From the organization want to "continue to improve the experience and comfort of their followers." Tickets can be purchased on the festival website, in Live Nation and in Ticketmaster. The first 5,000 tickets go on sale this October 23 with a special price of 125 euros plus expenses. Once exhausted, the amount of the subscriptions will amount to 145 euros plus expenses. From this date there will also be available a quota of VIP subscriptions to 400 euros plus expenses. These tickets include priority access, the possibility of accessing the front stage from scenario 1 and reduced prices in the bar of the VIP area.
Download Festival arrived in Madrid in 2017 after having celebrated 14 years in the United Kingdom and one in France. Spain thus became the privileged third country to host this legendary rock and metal event, the most important in the world of this genre. The first two editions in Madrid brought together more than 200,000 people.
