The day Luka Doncic imitated Michael Jordan … but lost

One of the iconic images of the NBA in the 1990s came in the late 1992s. The Michael Jordan Bulls measured the Portland Trail Blazers and a six-way "Air" streak ended with the number 23 shrinking Shoulders as if saying "What do you want me to do if I get everything today?" Well, that gesture was repeated this morning Luka Doncic in his match against the best team in the NBA, the Boston Celtics. The Slovenian scored an eight-meter triple after one of his most common moves, stepping back, and repeated Jordan's gesture … the bad thing is that the Mavericks fell in Boston.

Doncic was again the best Texans player with 34 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists in 34 minutes. But he was too alone. Porzingis was annulled by the Celtics (4 points and 5 rebounds) and only former ACB Kleber (15 points and 8 rebounds) offered some resistance to the team with the best balance in the League (8 wins / 1 defeat).

The night had another European protagonist already retired. Frenchman Tony Parker was honored by the Spurs with the withdrawal of his shirt. The French base received recognition from some of his teammates such as Pau Gasol, Manu Ginobili or Tim Duncan.

The day left a new scoring exhibition by James Harden. Before the Pelicans, "La Barba" exceeded his averages of 37 points per game and left until 39 before a team that still cannot count on number one in the draft, Zion Williamson.

Results: Detroit Pistons, 114-Minnesota Timberwolves, 120; San Antonio Spurs, 109-Memphis Grizzlies, 113; Boston Celtics, 116-Dallas Mavericks, 106; New Orleans Pelicans, 116-Houston Rockets, 122; Los Angeles Clippers, 98-Toronto Raptors, 88 and Golden State Warriors, 108-Utah Jazz, 122.
