In the last three days, Health registers 1,362 new cases and six people have lost their lives among the population group over 60 years old

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, following the new indicators included in the Surveillance and Control Strategy for covid-19, agreed by the Ministry of Health with the autonomous communities, reports that since the last data update last Tuesday have been recorded in the Archipelago
1,362 new positives among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is followed up after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

Therefore, the accumulated number of cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to
68,915 people. Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days is in the
831.39 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days in the
443.96.

Currently, in the Archipelago there are
230 people admitted with coronavirus, of which 12 are in the ICU and the rest, 218, on the ward.

On the other hand, the Canary Islands register a total of
six deaths since Tuesday, four in Gran Canaria and two in Tenerife. Deceased persons, aged between
70 and 93 yearshad previous pathologies and were hospitalized.
