The Circus of the Sun is immersed in the filming of a video that will reflect different natural scenarios of Gran Canaria and that can be seen all over the world through its social networks. This initiative will be "a fantastic promotion of the Island because this company is a worldwide claim," said the president of the Cabildo, Antonio Morales.

Morales received this Thursday a representation of the artists of the show 'Totem', the acrobatic proposal of the Circus of the Sun that welcomes Meloneras until September 22. The images of the reception can also be seen in the video, which will also include the beauty of the Dunes and the Lighthouse of Maspalomas, The pits and Agaete.

The artists, who attended makeup and characterized their characters, had the opportunity to meet the plenary hall of the Cabildo and know what their function is after the explanations of the president, who was given a flag of the Circus of the Sun, to continue later the tour to shoot in the other scenarios.

The actor Luis Moya, on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the excellent reception they have had in Gran Canaria since their arrival, with an audience that radiates great energy that gives artists the strength to perform the show.

A success in Gran Canaria

More than 52,000 spectators have already seen in Gran Canaria this fascinating montage consisting of 48 acrobats, actors, musicians and singers of more than 20 nationalities, which has been admired by more than 6 million people since its world premiere in Montreal in 2010.

'Totem' brings together a wide selection of Acrobatic feats, comedy, theatrical twists and shocking special effects, and tells the story of the evolution of humanity, from its beginnings until man got the desire to fly and even reach the Moon.

The representation in Gran Canaria is the original production of this show created and directed by the Canadian director Robert Lepage and is the first show under the Great White Carp that visits Gran Canaria, since in previous occasions they were represented in pavilions.

Morales explained that the arrival of the Circus of the Sun on the Island implies add a more southern attraction and he expressed his desire that the company be established permanently on the Island as a permanent headquarters in Europe, just as it is, because it is a world reference and because the response of farmers and tourists has been very positive, he explained.
