Dependents, merchants, packers, carriers and waiters

In this way, the sectors that promote the creation of employment are commerce, hospitality, transport and logistics, all of them directly related to the increase of consumption and tourism during the Christmas season.

The seasonality of this time of the year means that most of the incorporations are carried out through fixed-term contracts, since companies must reinforce their staff temporarily due to the specific increase in demand. In this sense, the incorporations begin in November and last until the end of January, joining with the sales campaign.

During the last years, the digitalization and the development of new technologies have modified consumer habits and, therefore, also the needs of the labor market. The growth recorded in electronic commerce has influenced the demands of companies, who seek profiles with digital skills to fill their vacancies.

In this way, companies at this time need to cover positions of packers, forklift trucks, warehouse waiters or carriers, among others. The needs of professionals dedicated to customer service are also increased, both for online and telephone service.

Despite the rise of electronic commerce, traditional trade remains the main driver of hiring during these months of the year. Thus, looking for dependents, promoters, stewards and commercial profiles, mainly, among which is valued the close relationship with the client and their communication skills.

Finally, the restoration also experiences an increase in the demand for its services, motivated by social events, such as lunches and dinners, both company and friends and family, so they are looking for chefs, kitchen assistants and waiters to meet the increase in demand.
