The Minister of the Presidency and spokesperson for the Catalan Government, Meritxell Budó, has announced this Tuesday that the Generalitat has created a volunteer bag so that public workers who are not providing basic and strategic services can carry out administrative and technical support tasks in the Department of Health and Interior during the coronavirus epidemic.
He said this at a press conference by videoconference with the councilors Miquel Buch and Alba Vergés, after the telematic meeting of the Consell Executiu, in which he indicated that the workers will carry out their new functions temporarily, in the form of teleworking and within their bodies and scales of administration.

Budó has ensured that the increase in administrative activity in the field of health, civil protection and security makes this incorporation of personnel necessary, and does not rule out extending the measure to other departments that need reinforcement due to the measures adopted by Covid -19.
The government agreement also allows the union freedmen, who have total exemption from work assistance for the exercise of their functions, to request this temporary assignment of functions on a voluntary basis.
The Generalitat will inform of the possibility of providing these voluntary services both to people who meet the suitability requirements for the positions, and to union organizations, they have indicated from the Govern.
