245 new positives in covid among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is followed up after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

in the Canary Islands to 96,114 people. Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 217.44 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 94.89.

Currently, in the Archipelago there are 105 people admitted for coronavirus, of whom six are in the ICU and the rest, 99, on the ward. On the other hand, in the last three days there have been
five deathsof which three were reported in Tenerife and two in Gran Canaria, aged between 72 and 94. All the people had previous pathologies and were hospitalized.

Healthcare capacity

The Ministry of Health informs that since last August 12, and in compliance with the Resolution of August 5 of the General Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health, in the calculation of beds occupied by patients with covid, the number of beds occupied by patients with pneumonia or acute respiratory infection or another pathology that is considered to be attributable to a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
