Canarias has registered 97 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so that the total accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 56,369 with 1,830 active, of which 40 are admitted to the ICU and 211 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Government.
This Monday the trend of three consecutive days without deaths is broken, by registering a new death on the island of Tenerife, a 59-year-old man who remained admitted to the hospital and suffered from previous pathologies.
The total number of deaths on the islands since the beginning of the pandemic has now risen to 767, of which 425 have been in Tenerife; 268 in Gran Canaria; 49 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 6 on La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.
The Accumulated Incidence (AI) at 7 days in the Canary Islands it remains at 32.91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the AI at 14 days drops to 72.89 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,134,236 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 2,192 correspond to the last 24 hours.
By islands, Tenerife adds 61 new infections with a total of 24,742 accumulated cases and 1,112 epidemiologically active; Gran canaria it has 22,603 accumulated cases, 19 more than the previous day, and 446 active; Lanzarote adds 13 new cases with 5,506 accumulated and 206 epidemiologically active, and Fuerteventura adds 4 infections and has 2,347 accumulated cases and 53 active.
La Palma it does not add new infections and the accumulated cases remain one more day at 565 accumulated, with 11 active; El Hierro It also does not register new cases and continues with 371 and only 1 active, and La Gomera it remains at 234 infections and 1 active.
