The Canary Islands Rally nor does it escape the clutches of coronavirus. The most international motor race in the Archipelago, which would have to be held between on 7 and 9 May,
has been postponed.
The organizing committee of the event already has a new date for the celebration of the 44th edition, which will be communicated at the beginning of next week as soon be ratified by the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
The Canary Islands Rally was the first race of the 2020 calendar of the European Championship, contest whose promoter is Eurosport Events. He had ascended a step in the initial order after the Azores Rally, to be held from March 26 to 28, was also doomed to postponement because of the measures taken by the Portuguese government to stop the expansion of the coronavirus.
