The Canary Islands already have 82.78% of their target population immunized against covid

A total of 1,623,169 people have already received the complete vaccination schedule against covid-19 in the Canary Islands, which represents 82.78 percent of the target population over 12 years of age in the archipelago, the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government reported this Monday in a statement.
The vaccination teams of the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) They have administered 3,122,341 doses of vaccines on the islands and 1,660,186 people have already received at least one dose of vaccines, which represents 84.67 percent of the target population over 12 years of age.
If the initial target population (those over 16 years of age) in the Canary Islands is taken as a reference, 88.73 percent have at least one dose, the note says.
During the past week, between September 27 and October 3, 15,922 doses were administered in the Canary Islands.

At present, groups from 1 to 7 (residents and health and social health personnel of residences; health personnel; large dependents and main caregivers; vulnerable people; groups with essential functions such as teachers and policemen and people with very high risk conditions) are already vaccinated with two doses between 99.5 and 100%.
In the rest of the age groups, the situation is as follows:
–Group 8. People between 60 and 65 years old: 83.07 percent with at least one dose and 66.11 percent with a complete regimen.
–Group 9. People between 50 and 59 years old: 96.20 percent with at least one dose and 97 with a complete regimen.
–Group 10. People between 40 and 49 years old: 60.07 percent with at least one dose and 78.28 with a complete regimen (including those immunized with Janssen, which is a single-dose vaccine).
–Group 11. People between 30 and 39 years old: 65.44 percent with at least one dose and 61.51 with a complete regimen.
–Group 12. People between 20 and 29 years old: 61.11 percent with one dose and 56.48 with a complete regimen.
–Group 13. People between 12 and 19 years old: 77.30 percent with a dose and 74.32 percent with a complete regimen.
