The Canary Islands agreed with Dakar - La Provincia

The CB Canary Islands signed a collaboration agreement with the Diazaka Le Savoir Keur Massar school in Dakar that will strengthen the ties of the Gran Canaria entity with Senegalese youth, serving as a vehicle to educate young Senegalese players in sport values and specifically of the basketball. It is one more notch in the formative trajectory of the yellow set during the last four decades.
Domingo Díaz, as president of the CB Canary Islands, and Moctar Mbengue and Poya Sow Mbengue, as responsible for the École Diazaka Le Savoir of Senegal, were responsible for initiating an agreement that will benefit all those Senegalese students who want to practice basketball to attend Gran Canaria, where in addition to continuing and strengthening their studies, they can receive professional training in one of the most important basketball training clubs on the national scene.
This collaboration will strengthen the already existing ties for several decades between the CB Canary Islands and Senegal, following the path marked by an example to follow as Astou Ndour, European champion this summer and best player of the tournament, and which has served as example to many of his compatriots to get to professional basketball, thanks also to agreements like this. This is one more step of the most representative island women's basketball club in its search for new talents.
