The Canary Islands add 13 deaths from covid and 677 new cases in three days

In total, there are 301 people admitted with coronavirus on the islands, of which 23 are in the ICU and 278 on the ward.

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, following the new indicators included in the Covid Surveillance and Control Strategy agreed by the Ministry of Health with the autonomous communities, reports that since the last update of data last Tuesday they have been registered in the archipelago
677 new positives among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is followed up after passing the acute phase of the pandemic.

Therefore, the accumulated number of cases of coronavirus among this group in the Canary Islands amounts to
93,388 people. Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 604.26 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 259.63. Since last July 8, there has been a
sustained decline of the cumulative incidence at 7 days, when we reached 913 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Currently, in the Archipelago there are
301 people admitted with coronavirusof which 23 are in the ICU and the rest, 278, on the ward.

On the other hand, in the last three days there have been
thirteen deaths, nine notified in Tenerife and four in Gran Canaria. All the people, aged between 71 and 109 years, except one case of 53, had previous pathologies and were hospitalized.
