The Canarian writer Samir Delgado will make a literary tour in New York coinciding with the celebration of the International Book Day 2019. On this occasion several literary activities will be carried out in which the Canarian poet resident in Mexico participates. The literary events will be held in Spanish and are intended for the Spanish-speaking public of the Big Apple.
The author Samir Delgado begins the literary tour in New York with the participation in a poetic reading programmed in the Terraza 7 space of the Queens neighborhood, on April 17 from 6 pm, an initiative coordinated by the poet Carlos Aguasaco in the framework of the convening of the World Poetry Movement. That same day the Canarian poet will visit the literary rhizome of the Manhattan Village Academy in a meeting with Hispanic students living in New York.
Then, on Thursday, April 18, at 5:00 pm at the University of Boston, a seminar on Benito Pérez Galdós organized by the Department of Romance Languages and the Center for the Humanities of Boston University will be held. The cultural activity is coordinated by the professor and prestigious galdosista Alan Smith and will also have the presence of the Canary writer Juan Carlos De Sancho.
Finally, on Friday, April 19, at 6:00 pm, the third issue of the literary magazine América Invertida will be presented, and will feature the poetic reading of Samir Delgado that will accompany the Basque writer Kirmen Uribe, National Narrative Prize , at a poetic soiree programmed at the well-known McNally Jackson Bookstore in New York's SoHo.
