The Cabildo subsidizes a total of 16 audiovisual projects with 139,816 euros for its development during 2019 - La Provincia

The Cabildo of Gran Canaria, through its center Gran Canaria Digital Space, has just awarded the grants for the year 2018 for different audiovisual projects.
In total there will be sixteen subsidized projects that will be carried out during 2019 in the different modalities that the call contemplated: feature films or fiction series, documentary and animation, video creation, video installation, video dance and fiction short films, documentary and animation.
In total, the Council of Culture of the Cabildo will award 139,816 euros to the winning projects of the call to which a total of 24 audiovisual projects were presented.
In the modality of development of feature films or series of fiction, documentary and animation, the nine projects that are subsidized are the following 'Desapareció la lluvia', by Alba González de Molina; 'The padded room', a work presented by Arena Estudio Films; 'Canarias memoria indígena', by Desenfoque Producciones; 'La hojarasca', by Inmaculada Pérez Machín; 'The islands of San Mao', from the production company Las Hormigas Negras; 'The Cradle of the Vanguards', by Rita Vera; 'I will disappear', by Silvia Sánchez, 'A happy man', from SQC 2013 and '2884', presented by the company Tibicena Arqueología y Patrimonio.
In the mode of production of feature films and short films of fiction, documentary and animation, the other half of a dozen following projects will be subsidized: 'Mi otro yo', by Chukumi Studio; 'El último arquero', by Dácil Manrique de Lara; 'The window', by Fernando García, 'The paper zoo', by Ignacio Bello; 'Viva VHS', by Muak Canarias, and 'Minotauro', by Perruncho.
Finally, in the modality of production of works of video creation, video installation, video dance and exhibition, a single grant is granted for the project called 'Calipso', by Ione Segui.
