The Budget Law 'forgets' the six-year period of teaching staff - La Provincia

The Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of Canary Government has ensured that the error detected in the Law of General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for the year 2020 by not incorporating the update of the six-year teaching staff.

In a statement, the Regional Executive explained that the Official Bulletin of the Canary Islands (BOC) published the regional budgets for the new year last December 31 and that it will now be the regional Parliament that, with the publication of a correction of errors, modifies point 1 of article 39, which includes these items.

In this way, the Ministry has indicated that The incorporation of the six-year games agreed with the unions by 2020 was carried out through the approval of parliamentary amendment number 51 at the request of the Socialist Parliamentary Group and which was supported by all groups represented in Parliament.

In addition, he explained that the errata occurred in the transcription of the amounts of the remuneration supplement for permanent training of non-university teaching staff to the final text of said Law, since the amounts corresponding to 2019 were incorporated instead of those of 2020.

However, he has asked the educational unions "calm", since the error has been verified and communicated to the Canarian Parliament, which has already begun the procedures to amend it.
