Gabriel Corujo, until now deputy of the PSOE in the regional Parliament for Gran Canaria, has been appointed delegate of the Ministry of Finance in the Consortium of the Free Zone of Gran Canaria, replacing the leader of the PPCarlos Ester. The order of appointment was signed on January 31 by Minister María Jesús Montero but it was yesterday when the designation came into force when it was published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) together with the dismissal of the previous delegate.
Likewise, there is also the change of owner in the Free Zone of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, from which Gustavo González de Vega is removed and Moisés Romero Arias replaces him.
The replacement in the two Canary Free Zones takes place more than eight months after the entry of the Government of thePSOEand after a long wait because the name of Corujo Bolaños already appeared as the favorite for months.
Another pending appointment by the central government is that of the Casa África management, an agency where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, theCanary Governmentand the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The favorite in thepoolsis that of Rafael Molina Petit.
After the arrival of the PSOE in La Moncloa few have been the appointment of Canarian leaders in the structure of the central Government. The most outstanding are those of Héctor Gómez at the head of the public company Turespaña and that of Ornella Chacón as president of Puertos del Estado. In the Canary Islands, the State Administration has as its maximum representative the delegate of the Government, Elena Máñez.
