The Boat Show closes its most sustainable edition with 57,000 visitors

The Barcelona International Boat Show closes today its most sustainable edition, which has seen new developments such as solar, electric and hybrid boats and swimsuits made with plastics collected from the sea, with the forecast of reaching 57,000 visitors.

This year, the fair has had the participation of 290 exhibitors and more than 700 vessels -180 in the floating sample – in more than 26,000 square meters of exhibition area.

The show, organized by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), has established itself as the largest commercial and dissemination platform for recreational boating in Spain and one of the most important in Europe, according to its impellers

The president of the Nautical Show, Luis Conde, has affirmed that “the activity carried out in these five days demonstrates that the reactivation of the nautical sector is a reality”, while the event director, Jordi Freixas, has been congratulated by the " high number of attendees, both professionals and the general public. "

Among the novelties presented this year have highlighted three 100% electric boats, several hybrid boats and a solar catamaran.

A few hours after its closure, the Boat Show plans to register 57,000 visitors, a thousand more than last year, highlighting those from France, Russia, Italy and the United Kingdom.
