The BNE exhibits "Document", the artist's book by the Israeli Michal Rovner

Madrid, Mar 23 (EFE) .- The BNE (National Library of Spain) will be exhibiting "Document", an artist's book that according to its author, the Israeli Michal Rovner, continues her line of research on the text, the writing and typography, a common thread that has been maintained for years.
The book, published by Ivorypress for its 25th anniversary, will remain on display at the National Library until July 3.
As reported by the BNE on Tuesday, the book has been published in an edition of three copies and two artist's proofs, and consists of prints on recycled paper, rope and video projection inside a metal and glass showcase.
"Document" is the union between light and matter, light and paper, a stable printed document on paper, and a similar fluid document of projected light ", has indicated Rovner (Israel, 1957), an artist who works mainly on video, photography and installation.
His work is defined through the language of abstraction and addresses issues such as space, time and the human condition.
"Rovner understands his artistic practice as an 'open opera' composed of endless figures, such as texts written in multiple materials, drawings, videos, sculptures, photographs and paintings, books. Books with light. Light to understand history and humanity ; light to glimpse the past and the present of the inevitable constant change of political and human events ", explains Elena Ochoa Foster, founder and CEO of Yvorypress.
"Each of the three unique copies of" Document "created by Michal Rovner is a strong and inspiring representation of his commitment to art, books and history," says Elena Ochoa.
The "Document" exhibition is part of the Ivorypress exhibition program in 2021 on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and in collaboration with museums, libraries and international universities in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain or the United States.
Ivorypress was born in London in 1996, founded by Elena Ochoa Foster as a publisher specializing in artist's books. Currently, in Madrid she develops an international activity related to contemporary art in areas of curating exhibitions, exhibition space, specialized bookstore, contemporary art consultancy, editorial projects, audiovisual production and educational programs.
