The bass player of the Mexican rock band
, Armando Vega Gil, has been found dead Monday, barely a day after being accused of sexually harassing a young woman when she was 13 years old.
The office of the prosecutors of Mexico City has not been able to confirm that the musician has taken his own life, although he himself had posted on his Twitter profile a message in which he made clear his intention to end his life, hours before confirm his death.
The Twitter account of the rock band confirmed the news on Monday: "With great regret we announced that our partner Armando Vega Gil died this morning." The body was identified by the musician's relatives.
On Sunday, an anonymous woman posted a message on Twitter under the hashtag #MeTooMusicosMexicanos, explaining that Vega Gil had sexually harassed her when she was 13 years old and artist 50, in an incident that happened 14 years ago.
The bassist had denied the accusation just before publishing the letter announcing his intention to end his life "to leave the way clear" to his son.
