The Balearic Government predicts a 31% drop in GDP in the Islands

This was confirmed in a telematic press conference, in which, accompanied by the general director of the Economic and Employment Model, Llorenç Pou, he explained the study of the economic impact of COVID-19 in the Balearic Islands carried out by the Govern.

In this sense, he stressed that the Government has worked on three possible scenarios depending on how consumption, business investment and tourism demand work. Thus, the Ministry works on an intermediate scenario, in which it foresees a “very moderate” start of the tourist season in August.
